Sarah Anne Johnson’s Explosions was featured in the Capture Photography Festival in Vancouver, Canada, from March 22 – May 15, 2021. Explosion is part of Johnson’s Arctic Wonderland series, which she developed in 2009 while participating in the Arctic Circle residency. The painted photographic work, presented at the festival as a pubic installation billboard, explores Johnson’s subjective experience of climate change in the Arctic landscape.
